Olive Wreath Ornament

These hand crafted pieces carry meaning beyond its beauty. Designed by an Indian female artist and entrepreneur, it was brought to life by artisans in Pune, India. These artisans are mostly women from urban slum areas who have been trained and educated in the art of handicraft making. The training provides them employment and a skill to earn a living and support their families with dignity.

The pieces are up-cycled from old army tents and saris, and hand stitched and decorated with brass wire embroidery. Each piece is organic, yet modern. Minimalist yet thoughtfully designed and up-cycled to create a sustainable and happy planet.
